Garlic Croutons with Thermomix

What could be better than garlic croutons (and Provençal herbs) to accompany your salads, soups… When you see the price and ingredients of store-bought ones, making them yourself is extremely worthwhile! Besides recycling old bread, it costs almost nothing and they taste better 😊 You can store them for weeks in a sealed jar.

Ingredients

  • baguette
    1 baguette
  • olive oil
    4 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp Provençal herbs

Thermomix Instructions

Place 1 baguette (or some slices of bread or other) cut into small cubes into a salad bowl in the Thermomix bowl.

Set aside.

Add to the bowl3–4

  • 5 Gousses d'ail
  • 4 cuillères à soupe Huile d'olive

Attach the lid with the measuring cup.

Mix 30 sec / speed 7.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl with the spatula.

Attach the lid with the measuring cup.

Mix 40 sec / speed 7.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl with the spatula.

Add 1 tablespoon of Provençal herbs into the Thermomix bowl.

Attach the lid with the measuring cup.

Cook 15 min / 90°C / spoon speed.

Transfer the contents of the Thermomix into the croutons bowl. Mix well by covering with a plate and shaking. Then spread the croutons in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Bake in convection mode at 180°C for 15 minutes.

Midway through cooking, stir the croutons with a wooden spatula.

Set aside the cooked croutons.
