CookAdapt provides AI-powered recipe adaptation services that transform recipes for kitchen devices such as Thermomix. Our Service includes:

• Recipe extraction from URLs, text, and images
• Recipe adaptation (scaling, diet modifications)
• Device-specific instruction conversion
• Recipe storage and organization

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Submit content that infringes copyright or intellectual property rights

• Use automated systems to scrape or extract data
• Upload malicious content or files

You retain ownership of recipes you submit. By using our Service, you grant us a license to process, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

5.3 Third-Party Recipes

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use recipes you submit. We are not responsible for copyright infringement by users.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:

• Accuracy of extracted or adapted recipes
• Nutritional information accuracy
• Safety of device instructions
• Continuous or error-free operation

IMPORTANT: Always use your judgment when cooking. Verify temperatures, times, and ingredient safety. We are not responsible for cooking results or food safety issues.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COOKADAPT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:

• Loss of profits or data
• Personal injury or property damage
• Errors in recipe conversions
• Device damage from following instructions

8. Subscriptions and Payments

8.1 Free and Paid Features

Some features require a paid subscription. Free features may have usage limits.

8.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed in advance. You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring fees.

8.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

8.4 Fair Use Policy

Certain features described as “unlimited” in our marketing materials are subject to a fair use policy designed to ensure quality of service for all users. Specifically:

• AI Chat: Pro subscribers may send up to 200 messages per day. This limit resets daily at midnight UTC.
• Recipe Conversions: Pro subscribers may perform up to 1,000 recipe conversions per month. This limit resets at the beginning of each billing cycle.
• Saved Recipes: Each plan includes a maximum number of saved recipes in your library (Free: 20, Pro: 1,000).

These limits are designed to support normal personal use. We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or restrict access for accounts exhibiting automated, abusive, or commercially exploitative usage patterns, including but not limited to:

• Automated or scripted access to AI features
• Systematic extraction of AI-generated content for redistribution
• Sharing account credentials to circumvent per-user limits
• Usage patterns significantly exceeding normal personal cooking needs

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
