I've been making this madeleine recipe for years, and it's the one that works best for me. Soft, plump, golden to your liking, they have that childhood flavor and addictive quality that makes every batch a hit. And most importantly, they are as simple to prepare as a yogurt cake: here, if you prefer, no need for a scale, the yogurt jar serves as a measure for the ingredients.

Ingredients

  • sunflower oil
    90 g sunflower oil
  • flour
    320 g flour
  • 2 natural yogurt
  • 2 eggs
  • 180 g powdered sugar
  • 1.5 sachets baking powder

Add to the bowl1–2

  • 2 Yaourts nature
  • 2 Oeufs

Attach the lid with the measuring cup.

Mix 20 seconds/speed 4.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula.

Add to the bowl6–7

  • 180 grammes Sucre en poudre
  • 90 grammes Huile de tournesol

Attach the lid with the measuring cup.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula.

Add to the bowl11–12

  • 320 grammes Farine
  • 1.5 sachets Levure chimique

Attach the lid with the measuring cup.

Mix 20 seconds/speed 4.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 210°C.

Butter a madeleine mold.

Transfer the batter into the madeleine mold and bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 210°C. Use convection mode. Adjust the baking time based on the size of your molds and your oven.
