Ingredients

  • onion
    1 onion
  • tomato
    1 tomato
  • paprika
    1 tsp paprika
  • cinnamon
    1 tsp cinnamon
  • cumin
    1 tsp cumin
  • saffron
    1 tsp saffron
  • ginger
    ½ tsp ginger
  • lemon
    1 lemon
  • honey
    3 tbsp honey
  • salt
    salt
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp four-spice blend
  • 1 small can chickpeas
  • 1 water boiling water with OR cubes
  • 100 g raisins
  • pepper and Tabasco

Instructions

In a bowl, mix the spices and the garlic cloves.

In another bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, lemon chunks, and honey.

Remove the skin from the chicken and brown it in a well-heated pot with a little olive oil.

Once the chicken is nicely browned, remove it from the pot and replace with the onion, adding a bit of olive oil if necessary.

As soon as the onions start to turn golden, add the chicken thighs, the spice mixture, the tomato, lemon, and honey mixture, and pour in the broth until the thighs are well covered.

Then, add the raisins and chickpeas, season with salt, pepper, and optionally add Tabasco.

Once it boils, reduce the heat and let simmer for about 45 minutes. Serve with fine semolina for an even better experience.
