With this quick apple and dried raisin turnover recipe, you'll never have to worry about your apples getting spoiled! If you're not in a hurry, remove the word 'quick' from the recipe and make your own puff pastry. The snail method works well if you don't want perfectly flaky pastry ;)

  • lemon juice
    1 tsp lemon juice
  • puff pastry
    2 puff pastry
  • 20 g brown sugar
  • 2 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 25 g dried raisins
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp semi-skimmed milk
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Prepare the apples

Add the peeled and chopped apples.

Add lemon juice

Add the lemon juice.

Add sugar and cinnamon

Add the brown sugar and cinnamon.

Mix the apples

Mix the ingredients.

Add the raisins

Add the dried raisins.

Empty the bowl

Pour the apple compote into a container.

Prepare the puff pastry

Unroll the puff pastry sheets on a floured work surface and cut into 6 squares about 13 cm each.

Fill the turnovers

Place a large spoonful of compote in the center of each square, fold the corners to form triangles, and press the edges with a fork.

Arrange on baking sheets

Place the apple turnovers on 2 baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

Clean and dry the bowl

Rinse and dry the Thermomix bowl.

Prepare the egg wash

Add the egg yolk and milk, and mix.

Brush the turnovers

Brush the apple turnovers with the egg-milk mixture using a pastry brush.

Sprinkle with sugar

Sprinkle the turnovers with brown sugar.

Bake

Bake until the turnovers are golden.
