There are many recipes for cookies with Thermomix; I have focused on offering you the most traditional one, as it was accidentally invented in 1930 in the Boston area by Ruth Wakefield, who owned an inn at the time. To please her customers, she added a bar of Nestlé chocolate chopped into small pieces into a batch of butter cookies.

Ingredients

  • flour
    250 g flour
  • butter
    125 g butter
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 100 g dark chocolate chips
  • ½ packet baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

Thermomix Instructions

Add to the bowl1–3

  • 250 grammes Farine
  • 0.5 sachet Levure chimique
  • 125 grammes Beurre

Add the lid with the measuring cup.

Mix 20 seconds at speed 3.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl with the spatula.

Add to the bowl7–8

  • 150 grammes Sucre roux
  • 1 sachet Sucre vanillé

Add the lid with the measuring cup.

Mix 30 seconds at speed 2.

Add 1 egg into the Thermomix bowl.

Add the lid with the measuring cup.

Pulse for 40 seconds at speed 9.

Add 90 grams of dark chocolate chips into the Thermomix bowl.

Add the lid with the measuring cup.

Mix 15 seconds at speed 1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Form slightly flattened balls of dough and space them well apart on the baking sheet.

Distribute 10 grams of dark chocolate chips over the balls in the Thermomix bowl.

Bake in the oven at 180°C for 15 minutes. Adjust baking time according to your oven :).
